Jibrin Samuel Okutepa, SAN

  1. An astute legal practitioner of great repute and industry; regularly described as an iconic legal salamander. Mr. Okutepa attained the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria on 7th July, 2011 after 21 years of profound legal practice. Mr. Okutepa was appointed Notary Public of Nigeria by the Hon. Justice M. L. Uwais, Chief Justice of Nigeria (As He then was) in 2001.
  2. Okutepa has led several teams of lawyers in the last 25 years in several landmark cases for individuals, corporations and Government/Government Agencies and has by these efforts contributed immensely to the development of the Nigerian jurisprudence; these cases enjoy constant law reporting.
  3. Okutepa has also led outstanding efforts in huge debt/entitlements recovery for corporate and individual clients through negotiations, conciliation and litigation; recovering and enforcing judgments that run into Billions of Naira.
  4. As an astute Bar man for over two decades, Mr. Okutepa is a leading voice and National Executive Council (NEC) member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). He is the Lead Prosecutor of the Nigerian bar Association (NBA) at the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) and also a member of the General Council of the Bar (GCB). He has also been an active member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) and the International Bar Association (IBA) for almost a decade.
  5. Following his outstanding contribution in human rights efforts and numerous cases, Mr. Okutepa enjoys appointments as Legal Adviser to several bodies, Unions/Organizations and corporations.
  6. In recognition of his efforts and contributions to legal developments, Mr. Okutepa has received numerous merit awards from different individuals and organizations.
  7. Okutepa’s legal contributions are extensive; he is a regular conference speaker at Legal Conferences and has written well over 30 conferences papers.

Martin Oge Ozueh, Esq.

 

 

M. O. Ozueh, EsqMr. Ozueh obtained an LL.B (Hons.) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology in 2004. He qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2007 was called to the Nigeria Bar in the same year. Mr. Ozueh joined the firm in 2008 and has actively participated and led teams of lawyers in civil, criminal and election petition cases with outstanding success. Mr. Ozueh has an outstanding record in corporate commercial practice and is remarkable for his efforts as a solicitor in the areas of negotiation, debt recovery and property/estate management. Mr. Ozueh who serves as the Head of Chambers in the Makurdi office is happily married with children. He is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Mrs. Atochi Chimere Uchin

Mrs. Uchin obtained an LL.B (Hons.) from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt in 2006. She qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2007 was called to the Nigeria Bar in the same year. Mrs. Uchin spent her first years in Springhill Solicitors, Port Harcourt until 2011. She joined the firm in 2011 and now serves as the Deputy Head of Chambers in Makurdi office. Mrs. Uchin has been involved in active litigation practice and enjoys spending time in legal research and drafting. Mrs. Uchin married and blessed with children. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Miss Adaeze Juachi Ezete

Miss Ezete obtained Bsc. Pol. Science from Enugu State University, Enugu in 2004. She also obtained an LL.B (Hons.) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu in 2006. She qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2008 was called to the Nigeria Bar in the same year. Miss Ezete spent her first years in practice with the firm of Ikechukwu Uzuegbu and Co. (2009 – 2010) and gained further experience in the firm of Chief Mike Mamman Osuman SAN and company (2010 -2014). Miss Ezete is an Associate of the firm and brings years of valuable experience in legal research and litigation. Miss Ezete is a member of the International Women Lawyers Association, National Human Rights Activists of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Bar Association.

Mrs. Hokaha H. Bassey

mrs hokahaMrs. Bassey holds an LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of Calabar, Cross River, Nigeria (2008). She qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar as advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2009. Mrs. Bassey prior to joining the firm gained vital experience at J-K Gadzama and partners 2009 – 2010 and later Ndoma- Egba, Ebri & Co 2010- 2012 before joining the firm in 2013. Mrs. Bassey is a well trained draftsman and has valuable experience in litigation across three states in Nigeria. Mrs. Bassey is married with Children and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Ede Uko, Esq.

E. Uko EsqMr. Uko is a multi-disciplinary trained professional and this has impacted heavily on his delivery as an Advocate/Solicitor with an eye for quality, attention to details and fierce stance for excellence. He holds an NCE Certification from the College of Education, Oju, Benue State 1998. Mr. Uko holds an LL.B (Hons.) degree from Benue State University, Makurdi, 2007 and obtained an LL.B (Hons). He qualified and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 2009 as an advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He joined the firm in 2010, rising to the rank of Head of Corporate practice in 2012. Mr. Uko has developed an outstanding practice with profound intelligence demonstrated through quality legal research/drafting; marshalling of arguments and remarkable advocacy in courts. Demas Msughter Tsevende, Esq.

D. M. Tsevende, EsqMr. Tsevende obtained an LL.B (Hons.) degree from Benue state University Makurdi in 2009. He qualified in 2010 and was called to the Nigerian Bar as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2011. For his remarkable understanding of the law, display of great intelligence and quality of legal practice during his tutelage in the firm and, Mr. Tsevende was employed in the firm immediately he qualified in 2011. Mr. Tsevende is currently the Head of Litigation in the Makurdi office and has not looked back ever since with very outstanding records of litigation practice across the hierarchy of Superior Courts of record. Mr. Tsevende is married and is a member of the Nigerian bar Association.

Williams C. Daniel, Esq.

Mr. Daniel hails from Enugu State in the Eastern part of Nigeria. He attended The University of Abuja for his Bachelor of Laws Degree between 2004-2010. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja campus, and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2011. Williams started his legal practice as an Associate Counsel in the firm of AKUNEBU, AKUNEBU & Co. He has also worked as the Administrative Manager and in-house Counsel at SOURCE SOLICITORS. He is a member of the Rotary Club since the year 2007. Mr. Daniel qualified as a professional Negotiator and Mediator in 2009. He is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management since 2011.He is a devoted legal practitioner and human right activist. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. He is happily married to Mrs. Blessing Ogenyi Daniel.

Nelson Aniekwe, Esq.

Mr. Aniekwe is multi-trained and this has remarkably impacted his practice in an outstanding way. He obtained (OND) certification in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, 2001. He holds a LL.B (Hons.) degree (2010) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu. He qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2012. Mr. Aniekwe demonstrates high standard of practice in litigation and corporate practice and cuts the image of an emerging colossus in the profession. He is also a trained and qualified Professional Negotiator/Mediator (PNM). He is happily married and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Sunday U. Akoh, Esq.

S. U. Akoh, EsqMr. Akoh holds LL.B (Hons.) degree (2010) from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State. He qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He also hold a Diploma in Civil Law from Borno College of Legal Studies, 2004. Mr. Akoh has his interests in Property and Public law. He has an in-depth research on “Settlement of International Trade Dispute Through Arbitration”. Mr. Akoh’s research and litigation skill is remarkable and has been demonstrated in the few years spent in the firm. Mr. Akoh is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Mrs. Ihechukwu Chigoziri Olanrewaju

Mrs. Olanrewaju was born to the family of Mr/Mrs Njoku on 14th of June. After completing her secondary education, she proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago – Iwoye, Ogun State where he graduated in 2010, bagging an LL.B (Hons) degree. Mrs Ola as fondly called, also attended the Nigerian Law School Enugu Campus between 2010 and 2011 where she obtained a qualifying certificate and was eventually called to the Nigerian bar in January 2012. She is also a member of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria. She joined the law firm of J.S. Okutepa SAN and Company in January 2015. Her Areas of interests include litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporate practice.

Mrs. Elizabeth Olayemi Ifedayo

Ifedayo EsqMrs. Ifedayo holds LL.B (Hons.) degree (2010) from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. She qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Mrs. Ifedayo is interested in legal research, corporate commercial practice and litigation. She is married and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association

Ojonimi S. Apeh, Esq.

Mr. Ojonimi hails from Kogi State. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons. 2010) from the Kogi State University, Anyigba. He attended the Abuja campus of the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2011. Since his admission into the Nigerian Bar, Mr. Ojonimi has had privileges of practising law with a number of respectable law firms in Nigeria before he joined the firm of J. S. Okutepa SAN and Company in 2014. Mr. Ojonimi has an indepth knowledge of drafting briefs up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), He is also a member of the Fellowship of the Partners For the Protection of Ethics and Value (FOPPEV). Mr. Ojonimi also has his name on the membership of the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU).

Miss Joy Ekeh Adah

Miss Adah holds Bachelor of Laws LL.B (Hons.) degree (2011) from the Kogi State University, Ayingba, Kogi State. She qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Miss Adah is interested in legal research, corporate commercial practice and litigation. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Samuel Terkura Akohol, Esq.

Mr. Akohol holds LL.B (Hons.) degree (2010) from Benue State University, Makurdi, Benue State. He qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2013 as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Mr. Akohol is interested in legal research, and litigation. Mr. Akohol has demonstrated outstanding understanding of legal practice and advocacy since joining the firm in 2013. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Maduabuchi O. Idam, Esq.

Mr. Idam obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from the Ebonyi State University in the year 2012. He attended the Nigerian Law School Abuja campus and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2014.

Oluwaseyi A. Arowosebe, Esq.

Oluwaseyi Arowosebe holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (2013) from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Mr. Arowosebe has had the opportunity of working with several law firms and intelligent minds either as intern or counsel some of which include THE PENTHOUSE CHAMBERS (Lagos), KOLADE ILESANMI & ASSOCIATES (Ado-Ekit) and M. I. OBI OKEZIE & ASSOCIATES (Umuahia). He has a flair for Legal research and litigation.

Ifeanyi Nnamdi Egwuonwu, Esq.
  1. N. Egwuonwu Esq born on the 18th August and hails from Anambra State. He attended Abia State University from 2007-2012 where he obtained an LL.B (Hons). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School Bwari Abuja in 2013 and after obtaining a qualifying certificate was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014. I.N. Egwuonwu Esq. joined the firm of J.S. Okutepa SAN & Company in 2016 under the auspices of the National Youth Service Corps.

Michael O. Ogobuchi, Esq.

Mr.  Ogobuchi hails from Ebonyi State. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree LLB (Hons.) 2013 from the Ebonyi State University. He attended the Abuja campus of the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2015. Mr. Ogobuchi has had opportunities if working in law firms as intern and paralegal, some of

which include Tope Adebayo LLP and JET Attorneys. His has keen interest in Criminal Litigation, especially Criminal Defence and International Criminal Law. Michael is an active member of the Nigeria Bar Association.

Onu S. Achem, Esq.

Onu S. Achem obtained his first degree in Law from the Madonna University, Okija in Anambra State in the year 2012. He graduated from the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2015. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Miss Gift O. Ejesieme

Miss Gift hails from Imo state. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws LLB Hons. (2013)  from the Imo State University, Owerri. She attended the Lagos campus of the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2015. Miss Gift is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Miss Bidemi Folashade Wilson

Bidemi Folashade Wilson was born on 3rd of November. She hails from Odigbo in Odigbo L.G.A. of Ondo State. She attended Adekunle Ajasin University Ondo State where she obtained an LL.B certificate. She also attended the Nigerian Law School Lagos Campus between 2014 and 2015 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2015. Miss Wilson is a corps member serving in the law firm of J. S. Okutepa SAN and Company.

Miss Elizabeth Ebulejonu Achimugu

Was born on the 18th day of January. She hails from Odu-Ogboyaga in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. She attended the Kogi State University, Anyigba from 2009-2014 where she obtained his LL.B (Hons) in 2014. She proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa Bayelsa State in 2014 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2015. Mrs. Elizabeth Ebulejonu Achimugu joined the law firm of J.S. Okutepa, SAN & Co. as a corper on National Youth Service Corps scheme in 2016.

 

Kelechi Ofoegbu, Esq.

Mr. Kelechi Ofoegbu was born on 29th November. He hails from Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State. He attended Abia State University, Uturu from 2008-2013 where he obtained an LL.B (Hons) degree. He proceeded to The Nigerian Law School Yenagoa Campus, Bayelsa State in 2014 and having passed all the prescribed examinations and also met all prerequisites was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2015. K. Ofoegbu Esq joined the law firm of J.S. Okutepa, SAN & Co. in December 2015.

Miss Grace Aduragbemi Ikudaisi.

Born on the 16th day of January, hails from Igbo-Oja nla, Ojo Local Government of Lagos State. She attended Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife where she obtained her LL.B (Hons) in the year 2013. She proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Bagauda, Kano State and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. She joined the law firm of J.S. Okutepa and Company in the year 2016

Ayobami Ayorinde Ogunsakin, Esq.

Mr. Ayobami Ayorinde Ogunsakin hails from Owo town of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. He attended Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State from 2008-2012 and obtained LL.B. (Hons). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Kano campus where he obtained his qualifying certificate and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. Mr. Ogunsakin joined the firm of J. S. Okutepa, SAN and Company in 2015 as a corp member on National Youth Service Corps scheme.

Miss Adedolapo E. Agunbiade

Miss Agunbiade obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree LLB Hons. from the Nothingham Trent University, United Kingdom in 2014. She attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2015. Miss Agunbiade has special interest in Taxation and Intellectual Property.

Miss Blessing E. Ameh

Miss Ameh obtained a Diploma in Law in 2007 from the University of Jos. She obtained another Diploma in Business Management from the Plateau State Polytechnic, Jos in 2008. She returned to the University of Jos to study for her Bachelor of Laws Degree, this she completed in 2014. She proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and became qualified, was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2015. Miss Ameh has been a volunteer at a number of organisations. She volunteered for at the German League for Technical Organisation between January and March 2013.  She was the Plateau State Coordinator of the Nuhu Ribadu campaign organisation between December, 2010 and February, 2011. Miss Ameh loves to travel, swim and cook. She is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Miss Philomina Amy Egboka

Miss P.A. Egboka, born on the 7th day of July, is an indigene of Umunze, Orumba-South Local Government Area of Anambra State. She is an Alumni of the great University of Jos (2008-2014) where she bagged an LL.B (Hons) and proceeded to the Nigeria Law School Enugu campus for her qualifying certificate. Having being found worthy in character and learning, Miss P.A. Egboka was called to the Nigerian Bar in December 2015 and she joined the firm of J.S. Okutepa, SAN and Co. in January 2016 on National Youth Service Corps Scheme.

Miss Caroline O. Ozuzu

Miss Ozuzu is trained both locally and internationally. She obtained her first degree in Public Administration in 2008 from Madonna University, Okija in Anambra State of Nigeria. She proceeded to The University of Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom for her Bachelor of laws Degree which she completed in the year 2012. Caroline also obtained a Masters of Laws degree in Employment Law from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom in the year 2013. She returned to Nigeria and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus, became qualified and was called to the Bar in 2015 as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
